Interpretation and Translation Services

Free language assistance services are available. You can request interpretation or translation services. Information in your language or another format, or auxiliary aids and services.

City Council and Committee Meeting Interpretation Services

Spanish language interpretation is available at all City Council and Committee meetings.

For interpretation services in additional languages and Sign Language Interpreters, at no cost, please contact clerk.interpretation@lacity.org and provide the language desired, specific meeting, meeting date, and the number of people in the group.

All requests should be submitted with as much advance notice as possible, preferably two business days prior to the meeting you wish to attend, for additional language interpretation, and five business days for Sign Language Interpretation. We will do our best to accommodate requests with shorter notice, but securing last-minute interpreters or captioners may not always be feasible.

Braille Services

Free braille agendas and documents pertaining to City Clerk services are available. For Council and Committee agendas, all requests should be submitted with as much advance notice as possible, preferably two business days prior to the meeting you wish to attend. For any other related documents, please email us, and we will respond as soon as possible.
