Eden Waldman is a 10th grade student in Los Angeles, CA. Her areas of interest include International Relations and local community work. Eden is passionate about seeking ways in which to help people both globally and locally. She is a Global Futures Institute (GFI) Scholar at her high school where she is undergoing a comprehensive course of study that seeks to explore ways to optimally help humankind through the exploration of three major themes; Environmental Futures, Global Identities, and the Future of Democracy. In addition, she is able to personally make a difference through GFI’s study abroad/service program, where Eden will pursue independent research and work with a local population to tell their story.
Last year, Eden completed a prestigious International Relations Summer program at Georgetown University. Furthermore, Eden works both in and out of school to stop the spread of hate and antisemitism. She is a Leventhal Intern, and a member of the Nazarian Fellowship; A four year program which encompasses community service projects, interfaith building, and promoting education and understanding on various conflicts in the Middle East. Eden shares a passion for playing Volleyball, and she plays both Indoor and Beach Volleyball for her high school. In her free time she enjoys movies and travel. Eden lives with her parents and two younger siblings in Los Angeles. Eden joined the Los Angeles City Health Commission as a Research Associate in 2025.
