Who is Represented on Neighborhood Council Boards? 

NC's have specific board seats designed to represent each community's diversity.

Stakeholders who:

  • Own Property 
  • Community Interest 

Stakeholders are eligible to run and vote in NC elections regardless of immigration/ legal status.

NCS receive public funds to assist with expenditures related to their board operations and functions to benefit the communities they represent, including:

When are Neighborhood Council Elections? 

Neighborhood Council Elections take place on odd numbered years. 

Who is eligible to be a Neighborhood Council Candidate? 

Stakeholders 18 years or older can run for a neighborhood council board seat. Stakeholders as young as 14 can run for youth board seats. Refer to your NC's bylaws for detailed candidate requirements. 

Who is eligible to vote in Neighborhood Council Elections

Stakeholders 16 years or older can vote in neighborhood council elections. Stakeholders as young as 14 can vote on youth seats.
