Sascha Weiss

Sascha Weiss is a rising senior student at Pomona College, where she is pursuing a B.A. in Science, Technology and Society and a B.A. in Environmental Analysis.

Sascha joined the Commission in 2025 as a research associate and her primary interests are on the intersection of climate and community health, particularly the role of environmental exposures in disease prevention.

At Pomona, she recently served on the College’s delegation to COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, where she engaged with global and subnational leaders on climate resilience and equitable clean energy transitions. She participated in discussions on environmental determinants of health, focusing on air quality, extreme heat, and disparities in toxic exposures. She previously interned at Essential Access Health, where she contributed to community-based health education initiatives focused on preventative care and STI awareness-building with L.A. teens.
