Corinne Ho is a native of Madagascar and arrived in Los Angeles from Canada in 1998. Ms. Ho became involved with many social organizations, registering voters with the League of Women Voters, working with different law enforcement agencies including the National Council of Jewish Women, to raise awareness about human trafficking, sex trafficking and labor trafficking, by organizing informative forums and implementing the requirements of Senate Bill 1193 throughout the City of Los Angeles.
Ms. Ho also worked directly with People Experiencing Homelessness, connecting people to services and housing. Ms. Ho was also a community organizer for the United Way of Greater Los Angeles, advocating for the building of permanent supportive housing for those who experience chronic homelessness.
Ms. Ho's self-care activities include hiking, doing puzzles, roller blading, singing, playing piano, cooking and speaking with her family, which is spread out around the globe. Her expectation in participating with the Health Commission is to collaborate with her fellow Commissioners on advocacy matters, programs and services needed to serve the people of Los Angeles.
