Free the Vote:
Nearly 60% of California voters approved Proposition 17, which amended the state constitution to automatically restore voting rights to people on state parole upon leaving prison.
The intent of the “Free The Vote” initiative is to include these stakeholders and empower eligible voters to participate in upcoming elections. The Outreach team will partner with Los Angeles County inmate programs, county jails, and related community-based programs to ensure that potential voters are aware and educated on voter rights.
