LA’s 99 Neighborhood Councils (NC) form the grassroots level of Los Angeles City government. NCs advocate on issues like homelessness, housing, public safety, parks, and sustainability.

If you live, work, own a business, own real property, or have an interest in the community, you are a stakeholder and can vote in
NC elections!

Voting in NC Elections is Easy!

Find your Neighborhood Council(s) by using the Neighborhood Council Look Up tool. Prepare for Election Day by viewing the 2025 Candidate Statements on our website to see the candidates running in your NC.

Vote-By-Mail (VBM)

View the VBM Ballot Request Dates and Deadlines to see the voting period for your NC and if documentation is required to vote.

Visit the online Vote-By-Mail Portal or download a Vote-By-Mail Paper Application to request your VBM ballot if you would like to cast your ballot by mail.

Note: Application and/or required documentation must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on filing deadline days.

Don’t forget to mail your VBM ballot! Your ballot must be postmarked by Election Day if returning your ballot via the post office. You also have the option to drop off your VBM ballot at your NC’s polling place on Election Day.
