We understand how challenging and overwhelming it can be to recover from the effects of wildfires. To support during this difficult time, we’ve gathered a list of essential resources to help with recovery and rebuilding. Please share these resources with anyone you know that has been affected.
Resources for residents impacted by wildfires:
- Lyft: Riders in need can use the code CAFIRERELIEF25, valid for 2 rides up to $25 each ($50 total) for 500 riders from now until 1/15 at 11:59 p.m.
- Uber: Use promo code WILFIRE25 in the wallet section of your Uber app to redeem a free Uber ride up to $40.
- Airbnb: Airbnb, partnership with 211 LA, is offering free temporary housing for residents displaced or forced to evacuate due to the recent wildfires. Submit your information in this form to receive notifications on availability. Please note, spaces are limited, and completing the form does not guarantee a stay. Eligibility criteria apply.
- Metro: Fare collection for rides on Metro has been suspended systemwide.
- The Salvation Army - Providing Relief Assistance Link
- Core Response (non-profit): Distributing masks, go-kits, hygiene kits, debris kits, and other protective resources Link

- LA Food Bank - Accepts/distributes food and monetary donations for fire victims Link
- World Central Kitchen (non-profit): Prepares and serves meals to first responders and those impacted by the recent wildfires and evacuations Link Offering free meals for those affected by the fire. Meal locations and times are shown on the Watch Duty map and below.

- Discovery Cube Los Angeles: The children's museum located at 11800 Foothill Blvd in Sylmar announced it will offer free admission to community members on Jan. 9 and Jan 10.
- Verizon: Verizon announced it will waive call, text and data charges for customers in hardest hit areas. The company also deployed free Wifi and charging stations at three wildfire shelters.
- Baby2Baby: Providing critical items including diapers, formula, food, and hygiene products for children and families who have lost everything to the fires Link
- Yeastie Boys: Offering free food to first responders and anyone impacted by the wildfires - food truck times and locations are being updated daily through their Instagram page @ yeastieboysbagels Link
