The Office of the City Clerk Council and Public Services Division is open for service of process of the following legal documents:
Summons and Complaints naming the City of Los Angeles
Summons and Complaints naming any City Department (this does not include the Housing Authority or "HACLA")
Subpoenas naming the City of Los Angeles or the Office of the City Clerk.

The City Clerk’s Office cannot accept legal documents for Housing Authority nor for personal service.
